Visitor Information Centre
Established in 1990, Gravesend's Visitor Centre at Towncentric (Tourism, Regeneration, Information Centre) has achieved much in growing the visitor economy in Gravesham and provides a high quality service to visitors to the area.
Towncentric is a networked Tourist Information Centre through the council's membership of Tourism South East, the quality of its service being recognised at a national level in winning a Gold Award in the Enjoy England Awards for Excellence 2007 and in being awarded Enjoy England Official Partner status by Tourism South East in 2008.
Frontline Visitor Information staff are trained to respond to a wide range of customer and visitor enquiries and can provide the following services:
- Booking agents for the National Express and Euroline coaches.
- Bookings for local events, boat and coach trips.
- UK and local accommodation search and bookings.
- Friendly and knowledgeable advice on where to go and what's on in Gravesham.
- The sale of a range of souvenirs, maps, guides, brochure and bus, train and tide timetables.
- Keys for disabled toilets under the national RADAR scheme.
- Advance booking for hire of shopmobility scooters and wheelchairs for visitors who require them.
Gravesham Borough Council works with national and local tourism partners including Visit Britain, Visit England, Tourism South East and Visit Kent.

Meeting and Exhibition space available at Towncentric
Towncentric's meeting area is available for businesses and services to use for meetings and/or training. The room can sit comfortably up to 12 people around the table and accommodate up to 30 people theatre style.
The centre also offers the possibility to groups, societies or businesses to use the bays for consultation and exhibition purposes.
Towncentric is open Monday to Saturday, 9am to 5pm, and is well experienced at welcoming groups. It also benefits from having an overhead projector, PC links, DVD and Video players.
Refreshments and lunch can be arranged.
