Cruise Ships

London's only deep water purpose-built cruise facility, the London Cruise Terminal at Tilbury, is situated opposite Gravesend and is accessible on foot via the Gravesend-Tilbury Ferry.

Just 22 nautical miles downriver from Tower Bridge, Tilbury has become increasingly popular as a turnaround port for Baltic and Northern European destinations but it is also perfectly placed for transit calls to visit London, Kent and the South East.

Passengers in transit will be able to enjoy a visit to Gravesend as the town is only a 5 minutes journey by ferry from Tilbury. (The ferry runs every half hour Monday to Saturday, from 6am to 7pm).

With plenty of shops, restaurants and sightseeing on offer, Gravesend is the perfect destination for those with a few hours to spare. The town is also well connected with its high speed domestic services to London (24 minutes to London St Pancras and 12 minutes to London Stratford International).

For more information please contact Gravesend's Visitor Information Centre, Towncentric, on 01474 33 76 00 or email info@towncentric.co.uk. See the schedule of cruise ship visits for 2011 at http://www.londoncruiseterminal.com.
